Suzuki Cello Book 1 Training Course 6/23-6/30

Led by Tanya Carey & Trina Carey Hodgson

This is a hybrid class taught by 2 teacher trainers who have had contact with Dr. Suzuki himself. It is 80% of cello playing and intense. In person will give you the most hands on experience. Preparation before the course is essential: Apply early to get all the materials to review before the course. Observations are online and need to be completed by the first day of the course. Do 2 lessons and hand in for comment. Then watch the rest and submit in batches. Read Nurtured by Love and Ability Development from Age Zero and write a one page report in 3 sections: 1. What is the organization 2. Describe something that interested you 3. Critique and state who is the audience?” DO NOT PLAN ANYTHING ELSE DURING THE COURSE. The practicals will give you practice in setting up a beginner and playing ALL of Book 1 from memory to see that your demonstration is clear.. When the course fee is paid, you will get the materials for the course via Microsoft TEAMS. There are also 2 wrap-ups to complete. These let us know our presentation and your understanding match up. 

This is a Hybrid Course with a maximum of 15 participants.

2. ECC Course must be completed (this can be taken at the institute)
